diomax® | The “all-rounder” for advanced laser surgery

A real all-rounder for advanced laser surgery

The diomax® diode laser satisfies the highest demands regarding the physical properties of the laser beam. Due to a wide range of application and its easy use and intuitive operation, the diomax® qualifies as a real all-rounder for advanced surgery.

Impressive in quality and flexibility

With its laser beam, the diomax® sets new standards. Its numerical aperture of 0.22 – the “quality characteristic” of laser radiation – stands for beam properties that were previously an exclusive asset of solid-state lasers.

However, the essential question is what you can do with this laser beam: Up to 50 customizable programs are available to surgeons for the most different applications. Each parameter can be set by means of a single rotary pushbutton and is then clearly and unambiguously displayed on the large color display, without any confusing sub-menu structures. This gives surgeon a perfect overview – and perfect control.

As versatile as the range of indications

What makes the diomax® so versatile is its wavelength of 980 nm, which is characterized by excellent absorption in hemoglobin and water and therefore well suited for use in almost all surgical fields. And since the diomax® offers an extremely short pulse time of just 5 ms, very gentle patient treatment is guaranteed as well.

In short: The diomax® is easy to use, versatile and first-rate in beam quality. It offers surgeons optimal conditions for every application – right from first use of the unit.

VENEX

The gentle system for Endovenous Laser Occlusion (EVLO).

The conventional method of removing varicose veins is called “stripping”. It is a technique that uses a Babcock probe to pull out the diseased veins. This sounds hard, and it is.

EVLO | An excellent alternative to conventional surgical procedures

Much gentler and more patient-friendly is the endovenous laser occlusion technique offered by KLS Martin’s VENEX system. This ambulant, minimally invasive procedure uses the energy of the laser beam to occlude the diseased veins reliably, thus preventing pathologic reflux.

As the only system available on the market, VENEX offers laser fibers with different radiation characteristics: 360°, spherical and axial. This provides you with the optimal treatment set for any indication – which is exactly what makes VENEX so unique.

VENEX 360°

With this gentle technique of occluding saphenous veins, the laser light is emitted radially. This has the advantage that the distance to the vein wall – the target of the light energy – is much shorter. Thanks to the radial radiation profile, the treatment is demonstrably gentler and side-effects are kept to an absolute minimum.

VENEX Sphere

VENEX Sphere enables extremely gentle laser treatment. The homogenous energy distribution reduces the risk of vein wall perforation while the focal point in front of the ball head of the fiber minimizes coagulate formation.

VENEX catheter sets

Each of the three catheter sets for EVLO operations (endoluminal treatment of varicose veins) consists of a puncture needle, a guide wire, an extremely thin, sonographically visible venous catheter, and a thin laser fiber.
